Too Much Dairy — What Do I Do With It?

Sometimes a Loop pickup comes with A LOT of dairy. Yogurt, cheese, milk, cream, dips — suddenly your farm looks like the dairy aisle!

Don't panic. There are plenty of ways to put it to use.

🥄 Grab a Friend & Have a Peeling Party

Got a mountain of yogurt cups? Grab a friend and get peeling! Separate the food from the packaging and make quick work of that dairy pile.

And if you have chickens, let them help! Chickens are AMAZING at cleaning out yogurt cups. They’ll happily take care of those last little bits of yogurt that are nearly impossible to scrape out yourself.

🐷 Feed It to the Animals

Dairy can be a great treat for many farm animals. Pigs especially seem to love it! Depending on the type of dairy and your animals, you may be surprised by just how excited everyone gets when the dairy box arrives.

📣 Share the Wealth

Still have more than your animals can use? Share it with another farm! Post in your local Loop Facebook group and see if another farmer can put your excess dairy to good use.

Sometimes one farm's way too much is another farm's jackpot.

Peel it. Feed it. Share it. Just keep that dairy out of the garbage!
